A Texas woman says she found what appeared to be mold on biscuit dough she bought at an H-E-B in Burleson, weeks after she says she discovered what appeared to be mold on toilet paper also purchased from the grocery chain. These reports join other social media allegations of out-of-date or moldy products sold at H-E-B, with locations in Texas and Mexico.
Creator Judyyyy.heartssss (@judyyyyheartsss) shared both videos about H-E-B products on TikTok. In the first, she shows her receipt before displaying a toilet paper roll with apparent gray streaking across the paper.
“I can’t make this up. I went to H-E-B, I think this Sunday, I went to H-E-B, got toilet paper,” she said. She said she had already used one roll before deciding to inspect the remaining toilet paper.
She then showed a close-up of a TP roll.
Judyyyy.heartssss then focused the camera on the discolored portion of the roll. “This is what I get,” she said
She expressed frustration at the end of the video since she had already used some of the product. “Y’all, like, I’m so upset.
In a separate TikTok post, the same creator said she again found what she believed was moldy refrigerated biscuit dough purchased at the H-E-B in Burleson, about 15 miles south of Fort Worth. She said she initially wondered why the package was difficult to open before looking more closely at the biscuits.
“These biscuits, y’all,” she said. “Mold. Mold is on these.”
She also showed an expiration date of Aug. 17, 2026, according to the video. “At this point, I don’t want no biscuits,” she said.
Unlike the toilet paper video, H-E-B publicly responded to the biscuit-dough post in the comments. The company wrote, “We are sorry to see this. We will be sure to share this with our Quality Assurance team. We would be happy to provide a full refund the next time you are shopping with us.”
Judyyyy.heartssss responded that she planned to return the biscuits. “Thank you for responding. I will be taking the biscuits back later on today,” she wrote. “But I am very concerned since I just bought toilet paper not even a month ago that had mold on it,” she added.
Other separate customer complaints alleging mold or suspected mold on H-E-B products.
A separate June 2026 discussion in the H-E-B subreddit included several customer reports involving the chain’s bakery tortillas. Some commenters said the tortillas tasted or smelled moldy, while others said the products developed mold before the printed date.
One commenter said the tortillas developed mold despite being refrigerated. Those comments represent individual customer reports and do not establish a broader H-E-B food safety issue.
H-E-B’s customer-service page allows shoppers to submit product feedback and upload photos. Judyyyy.heartssss did not identify the H-E-B location where she purchased the toilet paper. No testing or independent examination appears in the video.
H-E-B currently sells refrigerated and frozen biscuit products from brands including H-E-B, Mary B’s and Pillsbury. The company also says its food suppliers must comply with H-E-B’s food safety and quality standards.
