Florida woman alleges an old man looked her up and down at local Walmart. Then she says two men started following her: ‘Really freaked out’

A Florida woman says a routine Walmart shopping trip left her feeling unsafe after she noticed two men repeatedly appearing near her as she moved through the store. TikTok creator Tasia Alexis (@tasiaalexis) described the alleged encounter in an August 2026 TikTok video that has drawn around 1.3 million views.

Alexis said she went to a Walmart in Orange Park, Florida, after dropping her children off at school because another nearby location did not have the checkered bath rug she wanted. According to her account, an older man leaving the store greeted her while looking her up and down. She said she initially dismissed the interaction.

Inside the store, Alexis allegedly noticed another man, whom she described as a white man with brown hair in his late 30s. She said he had a cart filled with merchandise, including Bounty paper towels, and repeatedly looked at her.

She claimed the same man kept popping up.

Alexis said she moved through several sections of the store while shopping and began noticing the same man nearby. When she moved away from one aisle, she said he appeared in another area shortly afterward.

At first, Alexis said she considered the possibility that the encounters were coincidental. That changed, she said, after she noticed another man appear and meet up with the first man.

Alexis said both men were using their phones and had merchandise in their carts, but she noticed they did not appear to be adding anything. She then said the men appeared to move around her from opposite directions; “they’re circling me,” Alexis said.

Alexis said she changed direction and took different routes through the store. She eventually moved toward the front because she was concerned about being alone in a less populated part of the Walmart. “I’m feeling really freaked out at this point,” she said.

Alexis said she considered asking another woman in the store to stay with her but decided against it because she worried the situation could put that woman at risk.

She eventually asked two Walmart employees to escort her to her car.

Alexis said she told the Walmart employees she believed the two men were following her and asked for help getting outside safely. After returning home, Alexis said she did not plan to shop at Walmart alone again.

She also suggested the men may have been looking for someone alone.
No police report or law enforcement confirmation tying the alleged Walmart encounter to trafficking has been identified.

In a separate case, a woman in Texas also recently reported men following her at a Walmart in her area. She later learned the men were loss prevention officers.
