Seth Grahame-Smith & David Katzenberg Eyed To Direct Pride & Prejudice & Zombies

David O. Russell and Mike White had their time tackling the screen adaptation of Pride & Prejudice & Zombies, the story that moulds both Jane Austen and flesh eating monsters in a very hilarious mix, before deciding to move on. Rumours of bad budgeting or "scheduling conflicts" stopped them from committing. Since then the production company Lionsgate has been on the hunt for a replacement director for a while and nothing has yet turned up, which is surprising.

Rumours of bad budgeting or “scheduling conflicts” stopped them from committing. Since then the production company Lionsgate has been on the hunt for a replacement director for a while and nothing has yet turned up, which is surprising.

Today we get reports from The Hollywood Reporter that the author of the novel Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg, son of Jeffrey, are being groomed to co-direct the movie. They have a history together too as co-producers and directors on a little seen MTV sitcom called The Hard Times of RJ Berger. Grahame-Smith is becoming popular with the establishment, his adaptation of his other novel Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter has a main cast and is ready to begin shooting under Timur Bekmambetov.

Lionsgate is currently looking towards other directors to but who knows why this is taking so long. This seems to be happening around the studio at the moment, they are failing to make decisions on anything. Currently Mad Men’s future is hanging in the balance with them and now we await their choice on this, we’ll keep you posted.
