After surviving the titular tournament on two consecutive occasions, out heroine now finds herself on the forefront of a revolution in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1.
After leaving us all on tenterhooks at the end of Catching Fire, the upcoming two-part threequel has Katniss seeking shelter in the long-forgotten District 13. With unrest spanning the entire region of Panem, the Mockingjay trains under the tutelage of Julianne Moore’s President Coin, as she strives to rescue Peeta from the clutches of the Capitol.
Much like its predecessor, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 will be helmed by Francis Lawrence. Joining Jennifer Lawrence for the finale are newcomers Natalie Dormer and the aforementioned Moore, with the former actress playing a film director from Panem’s capital known as Cressida.
Set to be one of the biggest releases of the holiday season, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 will hit theaters on November 21st.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over 65 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.
