Fox’s Minority Report TV series, based on the 2002 Steven Spielberg movie, has added two members to its cast, and one ought to be familiar to fans of the feature. While at this stage the show currently only has a pilot order – meaning it may not get ‘picked up’ for a full series – the cogs (ahem) are in motion to assemble a killer cast. One of the film’s original cast members, Daniel London, has signed on to reprise his role, and he will be joined by franchise newcomer Li Jun Li.

Per Deadline, London is back as Pre-Cog caretaker, Wally. In the movie, his character maintained an almost stifling relationship with the seers and also frequently came up against Tom Cruise’s John Anderton. As previously reported, the sequel series will pick up ten years after the events of the movie. With pre-Crime no longer an issue, Dash, one of the pre-Cogs still haunted by visions of the future, encounters detective Lara Vega, who struggles with memories of her past. The pair unite to assist each other and eventually enlist the help of Wally to reinvent Dash’s identity.

Li, who was most recently seen in Al Pacino-starrer, The Humbling, and will make an appearance in Meryl Streep’s upcoming Ricki and The Flash, will tackle the role of Akeela, a CSI officer who works alongside Detective Vega.

While there’s still a ways to go until the show receives a full series order, there’s plenty to be optimistic about for this small screen adaptation. Minority Report will be executive produced by Spielberg, written by Godzilla scribe Max Borenstein and directed by Mark Mylod. The question is, will Cruise pop up for a cameo?
