So far, Lash has only been glimpsed at in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but ABC and Marvel have today released some hi-res images which give us our first proper look at the Inhuman villain in all his mutated glory. After taking aim at Daisy/Quake and Lincoln in the season three premiere, Lash is set to return in this Tuesday’s episode.
Matthew Willig is playing the character, who only actually debuted in the comic books fairly recently, and it looks like he’ll take on a major role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. moving forward, something which Agent Coulson and his team should probably be worried about. After all, he’s described as, “a monstrous Inhuman whose loyalties remain ambiguous.”
[zergpaid]It’s going to be interesting then to see where Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. takes him, especially as there’s not an awful lot of history in the source material for the show to borrow from. That’s something which was emphasized by Executive Producer Jeffrey Bell in a recent interview when he teased, “Lash was an Inhuman out of the comic books, [a] big, unusual looking dude, who seems to be angry about something,” adding that fans will “find out over time” why that is.
