On the heels of its recent success at the Golden Globes, where it nabbed the gongs for Best Comedy and Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy, Amazon has officially renewed Mozart in the Jungle for season 3.
The online giant announced the news via Twitter earlier today:

First hitting the streaming service in December of 2014, Mozart in the Jungle and, in particular, Gael García Bernal have quickly made an impression. Outside of the excellent Transparent, the musical comedy has fast become one of the more intriguing (and now award-winning) series among Amazon’s roster of content.
Adapted from Blair Tindall’s memoir Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs & Classical Music, Amazon’s title thrusts viewers into a largely unfamiliar world with aplomb, helped by the performances of Bernal, Lola Kirke and the remainder of the cast. In light of today’s renewal, Joe Lewis of Amazon’s Half Hour series, stated that “Mozart in the Jungle bursts with creativity and passion, and offers audiences something truly unique. Amazon is proud to have two of the most risky and enthralling comedy series on television today.”
Amazon’s New York Symphony hasn’t reached its crescendo just yet, with Mozart in the Jungle season 3 now on course to hit the streaming service in early 2017.
