First Look Promo And Images From Next Week’s Episode Of Arrow Released

The CW has released a first look promo alongside a full gallery of images from the next instalment of Arrow, and it appears as if things in Star City are about to really heat up as we approach the finale. A lot of fans are still mad about the decision to kill off the Black Canary of course, but the ramifications from that will clearly continue to be felt in the series based on what we see here.

For more details on what to expect from this episode of Arrow – titled “Genesis” – here’s the official synopsis:

As Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) look for a magical solution to defeat Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough), a vengeance-driven Diggle (David Ramsey) gets a lead on Andy’s (guest star Eugene Byrd) whereabouts and heads off to confront his brother. Meanwhile, Alex (guest star Parker Young) takes Thea (Willa Holland) on a vacation that quickly turns into a nightmare. Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Oscar Balderrama & Emilio Ortega Aldrich.

Both the promo and stills point to Diggle’s confrontation with his villainous brother being a big part of this episode, and considering the fact that Andy’s loyalty to H.I.V.E. played a huge role in Laurel’s death, you can understand why. Still, it’s hard to escape the feeling that the importance of Green Arrow in his own series has really lessened this year, and that’s a shame.

Regardless, after getting somewhat bogged down during the middle of the season, hopefully Arrow has a satisfying finale planned to make up for it.
