It’s official: Supergirl has been renewed for season two, but it won’t be in the same place fans are used to. The series is migrating over to The CW for its sophomore year, where it will join fellow DC small-screen universe shows like The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow.

Rumors swirling around Supergirl‘s move to The CW have been around for a while, with a report from last week suggesting it was imminent. Given the show’s high production costs, the move over to The CW will help trim down the budget, since all of the network’s current superhero dramas shoot in the cheaper lots of Vancouver.

Supergirl has already crossed over with one of The CW’s heroes, The Flash, earlier in the season, so it makes a ton of sense for the series to find a home on the network’s DC-heavy slate. Although unconfirmed, it’s easy to see plenty more crossovers coming in the future, so fans definitely have a lot to look forward to.
