First Clip For Pixar’s Sequel Finding Dory Is Totally Sick

Last time we saw Marlin (Albert Brooks) hitch a ride with a turn of Aussie turtles, Pixar's flailing father was searching every corner of the ocean for his wayward son, Nemo. Fast forward a decade and change and our clownfish hero is now on the hunt for the parents of Ellen DeGeneres' clumsy blue tang fish, who takes point as the principal lead for Andrew Stanton's sequel, Finding Dory.

It’s that loveable trio that anchor today’s first clip for Stanton’s long-awaited follow-up – nipping at the heels of the latest full-length trailer, which surfaced from the deep blue earlier in the week – as they plot course for America’s West Coast in a bid to reunite Dory with her long-lost family. That’s if she can remember what they look like, of course.

But not all goes according to plan upon arriving in California, when DeGeneres’ forgetful lead is plucked out of the ocean and taken to the state’s Marine Biology Institute, a sanctuary for all manner of sea life that tees up the introduction of Ed O’Neill’s world-weary octopus, Hank.

O’Neill, Brooke and DeGeneres are just some of the standouts from Finding Dory‘s ensemble cast, which also features Diane Keaton, Willem Dafoe, Dominic West, Kaitlin Olson, Ty Burrell, Eugene Levy, Idris Elba and Michael Sheen in an undisclosed role.

Pixar’s friendly-but-forgetful blue tang fish will soon make a beeline for theaters when Finding Dory finally opens on June 17.
