What brings him and his daughter to Earth-1? Well, after being hit by the second particle accelerator blast which restored The Flash’s powers, it turns out that Jesse has indeed become a speedster (which may not be all that surprising to comic book fans considering the fact she’s known as Jesse Quick in the source material). For more information, here’s the official synopsis for “Magenta.”

EARTH-2 WELLS AND JESSE RETURN TO CENTRAL CITY — Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash are thrilled to reunite with Earth-2 Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Jesse (guest star Violett Beane). Wells confides to Barry and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) that Jesse has all the powers of a speedster and has been saving people on his Earth. He is concerned about her safety and wants them to talk her out of using her powers. Meanwhile, Magenta, (guest star Joey King) a new meta who can control metal, terrorizes the city. Armen V. Kevorkian directed the episode written by Judalina Neira & David Kob.

Seeing Jesse embrace her destiny as a hero promises to be a lot of fun, and it’s hard to believe that Barry and the team will be able to talk her out of sticking to that path. The bigger mystery here though is whether or not the father and daughter duo will be making a one off appearance or sticking around for a while. With any luck, it will be the latter.

As for Magenta, as cool as she sounds, she’s likely another one off weekly villain, so don’t expect her to factor too heavily into the season long arc, which looks set to revolve around the mysterious Dr. Alchemy and Savitar. Regardless, season 3 of The Flash is definitely shaping up to be a lot of fun, and this episode really can’t get here soon enough.
