The Weeknd Rocks The MTV EMAs With Stunning “Starboy” Performance

Love it or hate it, you can't deny that "Starboy," The Weeknd's new collab with Daft Punk is a massive hit. It's hard to escape the song at the moment and with numerous remixes starting to pour out for it, it doesn't look like it'll be going anywhere any time soon, either.

Love it or hate it, you can’t deny that “Starboy,” The Weeknd‘s new collab with Daft Punk, is a massive hit. It’s hard to escape the song at the moment and with numerous remixes starting to pour out for it, it doesn’t look like it’ll be going anywhere any time soon, either.

We’re certainly not complaining, as we happen to be big fans of Abel’s moody and soulful new cut, as it’s bolstered by some excellent production from the French duo and even has a pretty cool music video to accompany it. It’s also the first of two songs that we’ll be getting from the artists, as The Weeknd recently confirmed that he’s got another track in the works with Daft Punk that’ll appear on his upcoming album.

But I digress. “Starboy” is a bonafide winner and last weekend, the singer touched down at the MTV EMAs to perform it live. Complete with a translucent dome and some interesting stage production, The Weeknd brought the song to life in stunning fashion, nailing every note and sending the crowd into a frenzy. It’s an inspired performance, one that anyone who was lucky enough to be in attendance won’t soon forget.

You can see it for yourself in the video below, and once you’ve done so, feel free to drop us a comment in the usual place letting us know if you’re as much a fan of The Weeknd‘s “Starboy” as we are.
