Disney Invites You To Be Their Guest With New Beauty And The Beast TV Spot

It's hard to believe, but Beauty and the Beast is now 25 years old. The film still remains one of Disney's best efforts to date and is widely considered to be a classic, and rightfully so. As such, it's no surprise that the Mouse House is now remaking it via a live-action adaptation which is scheduled to hit theatres this March.

This whole turning animated films into live-action thing that the studio has been diving headfirst into lately is a bit tricky. For every Jungle Book we get an Alice in Wonderland, which is to say that sometimes they hit a home run and other times….not so much. But if there’s one constant between all of Disney’s live-action remakes, it’s that they pull in a lot money at the box office, so it’s no surprise that the studio seems intent on re-visiting every single one of their classics.

As mentioned above, next up for them is Beauty and the Beast, which comes to us from director Bill Condon (Dreamgirls) and stars Emma Watson and Dan Stevens as the titular pair. It’s a talented team putting this one together, and we remain hopeful that it won’t tarnish the name of what’s truly a classic animated film. Thankfully, the footage we’ve seen so far has painted a very pretty picture, one that points to the adaptation being a faithful retelling of the story, and this latest promo does nothing to change that.

The quick preview shows off some more of the supporting players, like Lumière (Ewan McGregor) and Cogsworth (Ian McKellen), who look to be quite fun, as well as the villainous Gaston (Luke Evans). We also get a few teases of several iconic scenes from the original, like Belle discovering the rose. All things considered, it’s another promising look at the film and has us hoping that the Mouse House can do the original justice.

Disney will invite you to be their guest when Beauty and the Beast opens on March 17th, 2017. Take a look at the new promo above and be sure to sound off in the comments section letting us know if you think it’ll be a successful remake.
