Danny Rand Kicks Back In Iron Fist #1 First Look

From what we can gather, this spring is going to be quite generous when it comes to new series featuring superheroes that have been or are about to enjoy some mainstream exposure via motion pictures and television. Whether it be All-New Guardians of the Galaxy, I am Groot, Luke Cage or the focus of today’s discussion – Iron Fist – it’s inarguable that there couldn’t be a better opportunity to take advantage of jumping on points for those looking to get into these characters.

So, whether or not you’ve read any comics featuring Danny Rand in anticipation of his upcoming Netflix series, you just might want to get in on the ground floor of his ongoing comic written by Ed Brisson (Bullseye) and illustrated by Mike Perkins (Deathlok) that’s said to see the titular hero facing “a gauntlet of deadly kung-fu masters.” Would you expect any less?

Although we still have some time until the series kicks off, Marvel has graciously provided a gallery of images featuring a variety of covers readers will be able to choose from in addition to some stunning unlettered interiors. So, be sure to peruse those before going about your way.

Iron Fist #1 is set to arrive in comic shops on Wednesday, March 22. In the meantime, if you’re looking for more information, check out the detailed synopsis below:

Danny has always straddled two worlds – Earth and the mystical realm of K’un-Lun. Now, with K’un-Lun in ruins, he’ll question his place in both more than ever. The chi fueling his fists is wavering, yet still he fights on. Fighting to prove his worth, he’ll push himself to his breaking point. But a bigger battle than he can handle may have found him first.

Whisked away to the mysterious island of Liu-Shi, he’ll come face-to-face with the fight of his life! With nothing but his fists and his feet, the Immortal Iron Fist will step into the ring with the island’s deadly Seven Masters! Each possessing mystical power and each with their own vendetta against the Iron Fist, what hope does Danny stand against the Bull, the Bear, the Eel, the Rabbit, the Rat, the Snake and the Wolf?!
