With the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 getting closer and closer, some great marketing material from the Marvel Studios film is quickly finding its way online. It’s interesting that Marvel is using such psychedelic imagery for the highly anticipated sequel here, and it’s hard not to wonder if this style might factor into Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in some way. After all, the trailers and TV spots have been very selective in terms of big reveals, so who knows what other surprises could be in store for us once the film arrives in May? I think it’s safe to say though that whatever it is that director James Gunn’s cooked up, it’s sure to be a real treat.

While there’s no denying that Justice League looks quite promising, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 most definitely stands a chance of being 2017’s best superhero movie, especially when you think back to how the first instalment exceeded expectations when it released in 2014. With so much talk of how the film will work to set up the future, it’s clearly going to be a very important chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and as a result, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is without a doubt one of this year’s most highly anticipated releases. In fact, if Chris Pratt is to believed, it might just be one of the best movies of all-time.

Excited yet?
