The Flash, Supergirl And Legends Of Tomorrow Stars Tease Season Finales In New Video

Although we'll unfortunately have to endure a four-week hiatus for some of our favorite DC TV shows after this week, the good news is that the likes of The Flash and Supergirl will begin their final stretches of the 2016-17 television season upon returning, no doubt making for some exciting storytelling.

Although we’ll unfortunately have to endure a four-week hiatus for some of our favorite DC TV shows after this week, the good news is that the likes of The Flash and Supergirl will begin their final stretches of the 2016-17 television season upon returning, no doubt making for some exciting storytelling. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, meanwhile, will be doing things a bit differently, concluding its second season next week.

The folks at DC All Access caught up with the cast and crew from each show mentioned at PaleyFest recently with the intention of discussing what’s to come. Knowing that Legends would be punching its time card first, those representing that series were the first to speak.

Not surprisingly, we’re teased with a finale that’s said to be crazier and more over the top than we’re used to seeing. That’s quite understandable, given that the Legion of Doom is rewriting all of reality in the penultimate episode and there’s also the the fact that networks naturally allot higher budgets for season finales. Therefore, it’s within reason that Legends will want to leave a lasting impression.

Unfortunately, not much information about The Flash was given aside from Barry Allen and Iris West having to adjust to their new status quo (yes, we too were hoping for some hints to Savitar’s identity), but one could argue that the carrots dangled by the Supergirl cast were among the best.

Personally, the one that caught my attention was David Harewood, Martian Manhunter himself, saying they’re building up to “a massive war” and “perhaps the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” Could this mean that Kara and the DEO will possibly unite with Cadmus in the fight against the Daxamites? Hey, having your planet threatened does make for strange bedfellows.

Beyond that, lead actress Melissa Benoist said she’s heard some chatter about what season 3 entails, and that it should please fans of the comics. Considering that none of us were flies on the wall in the production office, we’re just as in the dark as you are, but it’s worth mentioning that Katie McGrath will be a series regular next fall, so perhaps Lena Luthor will factor into the grand scheme of things.

Supergirl airs on Monday nights on The CW, with The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow following on Tuesdays.
