If there was one big takeaway coming out of last month’s San Diego Comic-Con, it’s that Thor: Ragnarok is shaping up to be one of the biggest releases of the year.

For three weeks on the trot, Marvel and Taika Waititi’s galactic threequel has topped social media buzz, generating upwards of 800,000 online conversations, according to data posted by media-measurement firm comScore. Those figures are brought into perspective when you consider that Ragnarok has beat out the likes of Justice League, Deadpool 2, Annabelle: Creation, and even Star Wars: The Last Jedi to be crowned #1, though we imagine the latter blockbuster is poised to overtake Thor 3 in light of Entertainment Weekly’s blowout.

And in order to ensure the hype train has enough fuel to last until November, Marvel has today unveiled the new and rather striking international poster for Thor: Ragnarok, on which Hela, the Goddess of Death, looms large on the lime-green horizon. Once again proving that the MCU is able to attract top-tier talent – just look at Jeff Goldblum signing on to play The Grandmaster – two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett is on board to portray the unruly deity, who crashes into Asgard and essentially banishes the God of Thunder to the other side of the galaxy, sans Mjölnir.

Stripped of his prized hammer and left far, far away from home, Thor then begins to fight through the pits of Sakaar, where he meets an old ally (“he’s a friend from work!”) in the form of the Incredible Hulk. Following up on their scrap in the first Avengers movie, we know that both heroes will go toe-to-toe when the chips are down, and below you’ll get a sneak peek at the film’s starry lineup.

Pitched as a galactic buddy movie involving the God of Thunder and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, Thor: Ragnarok is the third and final Marvel movie to release in 2017, and it’ll be with us on November 3rd. Not only that, but it’ll seemingly include Stan Lee’s funniest cameo yet.
