Lady Sif Reportedly Confirmed To Appear In Thor: Ragnarok

Jaimie Alexander's fearless Asgardian has not been seen since The Dark World, but a new report suggests her Lady Sif will appear in Thor: Ragnarok.

Does Lady Sif have a role to play in Thor: Ragnarok?

Four years ago, Jaimie Alexander’s fearless Asgardian warrior was unfairly sidelined during The Dark World, leading many Marvel fans to speculate that the actress’ time within the MCU had quietly come to an end. But it seems there’s still reason to be hopeful.

Back when the Powers That Be announced Thor: Ragnarok‘s impressive cast list, effectively confirming Cate Blanchett as Hela, Goddess of Death, and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jaimie Alexander was conspicuously absent from the lineup, leading to this rather ambiguous Tweet from Alexander herself, who told anxious fans at the time not to worry about Lady Sif’s future – or lack thereof – in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And now, thanks to one eagle-eyed Twitter user (via Cinema Blend), there’s been a new development to the story. But don’t worry, it’s good news.

Ahead of her appearance on this Sunday’s Talking with Chris Hardwick, Jaimie Alexander was listed as a Thor: Ragnarok cast member, which all but confirms that her Lady Sif will feature in Taika Waititi’s galactic threequel in some shape or form. However, it’s worth noting that this could simply be a mistake on the show’s part, and Alexander’s screen credit is actually an unfortunate typo. Still, we live in hope, and you’ll know if there’s been any update on this story as soon as we do.

Following in the footsteps of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming, Ragnarok is the third and final Marvel movie to release in 2017, and it’ll seemingly introduce moviegoers to the God of Thunder at his funniest. There’s also the promise of a rib-tickling Stan Lee cameo, so it’s small wonder why moviegoers are looking forward to Waititi’s star-studded romp in the hope that it’ll be remembered as the best Thor movie yet.

Thor: Ragnarok makes a beeline for theaters on November 3rd.
