Barry And Iris Will Get Married In The Flash Season 4

When we last saw Barry Allen, he willingly ventured off into the Speed Force in order to atone for whatever guilt he’s harbored since creating Flashpoint. In his absence, it appears as though Wally West will attempt to fill the void as The Flash, but we all know that Barry will return before long.

And when he does, it certainly sounds like he won’t waste any time taking Iris West’s hand in marriage. Truth be told, it could be said this is one of the milestones the series has been building to since day one. Well, according to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, it’s actually going to happen:

“They are finally going to get married this season and then it’s going to be: Can they stay married with everything that’s coming up against them?”

That sounds a tad bit foreboding, now doesn’t it? So, either the creative minds will continue the proud tradition of having supervillains crashing weddings (perhaps this is a job for the Thinker?), something Smallville did on more than one occasion, or the couple could eventually be headed for Splitsville after not being able to endure whatever lies ahead.

As of now, it remains unclear as to when they’ll tie the knot, but given that Iris’ bachelorette party will apparently take place in episode 5, odds are it won’t be too long after that. Our better judgment says the midseason finale is just as good of a place as any, but only time will tell.

The Flash returns for its fourth season on Tuesday, October 10 on The CW.
