Arrowverse Crossover Set Photos Reveal Earth-X Flash’s Identity

As a fan of the Arrowverse, I'll be honest in saying that this year's crossover may very well be the one I've experienced the most excitement for because I'm often intrigued by the concept of parallel universes, Elseworlds stories and other things of that nature. Thus, you could imagine how happy I was when "Crisis on Earth-X" was confirmed.

In short, we know that doppelgangers of our favorite heroes are set to crash the wedding of Barry Allen and Iris West, thus leading to the big extravaganza. But on the Earth where the warped reflections hail from, the Nazis just so happened to have won World War II. Therefore, we should expect markedly different interpretations of these characters.

And with filming on the crossover being well underway, photos from the set have gradually begun to leak. In fact, earlier this week, we were granted our first full look at what’s being dubbed “Dark Arrow” until we get an official title and, more recently, an image showing the Flash and Green Arrow enjoying a moment of rest surfaced.

Now, thanks to Twitter user ThemysciraBound, we know the true identity of Blitzen, Earth-X’s answer to the Scarlet Speedster. Admittedly, we shouldn’t have been too surprised when you consider the color scheme of the costume, but it still comes as a minor shock to see actor Tom Cavanagh under the cowl.

As we can see, the Reverse-Flash suit is pretty much intact but with an “SS” in place of the lightning bolt. Still, we may have to wait until this hits airwaves before learning if this is Eobard Thawne assuming the likeness of Harrison Wells, or yet another doppelganger of Wells that Cavanagh might’ve been hinting at.

Still, now that the cat is out of the bag, we can’t help but wonder if any other curveballs await. We already know that Earth-X’s Prometheus will not be Adrian Chase, so it’s entirely possible that Dark Arrow and Overgirl aren’t Oliver Queen and Kara Zor-El, respectively.

The DC TV crossover event is scheduled to begin with Supergirl and Arrow on Monday, November 27, and concludes with The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow on Tuesday, November 28 on The CW.
