Arrow: Deathstroke’s Saga Continues In “Promises Kept” Synopsis

Even though Manu Bennett had considerable screentime in Arrow's season premiere a few weeks back, we're still waiting to see the forward progression of his character's particular story. That being said, it's understandable why we're greatly looking forward to seeing much more of Slade Wilson in the appropriately titled "Deathstroke Returns."

As it turns out, the search for Slade’s son, Joe, will spill over into the next week in “Promises Kept.” Obviously, the writers are continuing to get some mileage out of one of the mercenary’s more notable catchphrases, because if a talking action figure of this iteration of Deathstroke were to exist, we imagine at least one of the things he’d say would be, “I made you a promise, kid.”

Anyway, we can’t help but wonder what Oliver’s “big decision” that the synopsis teases will be. Quite frankly, it could be anything from furthering his newly rekindled relationship with Felicity Smoak to reclaiming the Green Arrow mantle from John Diggle. After all, photos leaked from the set of this fall’s crossover clearly show Oliver in full costume, so anything’s possible.

For more information, be sure to check out the official synopsis below:

OLIVER MAKES A BIG DECISION — As Slade (guest star Manu Bennett) continues to uncover clues about his son’s last few years, Oliver (Stephen Amell) makes a big decision. Meanwhile, the Green Arrow (David Ramsey) leads the team into battle against “The Dragon,” a villain who is stealing valuable tech in Star City. Antonio Negret directed the episode written by Oscar Balderrama & Rebecca Bellotto (#606). Original airdate 11/16/2017.

Arrow airs on Thursday nights on The CW.
