Incredible Fan Edit Makes The Avengers: Infinity War Trailer Even More Epic

After months of waiting, the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War hit the web last month and instantly went viral, breaking records to become the most-watched preview ever. Packed full of Avengers, action, an ominous tone and lots of intriguing teases for what the movie holds, it didn't drop too much all at once, saving quite a lot for future teasers and the actual film itself.

After months of waiting, the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War hit the web last month and instantly went viral, breaking records to become the most-watched preview ever. Packed full of Avengers, action, an ominous tone and lots of intriguing teases for what the movie holds, it didn’t drop too much all at once, saving quite a lot for future teasers and the actual film itself.

As expected though, in the month or so since the trailer’s been out, fans have gotten creative with some nifty recreations of it. One individual imagined what a Disneyfied take on the preview would be like, for instance, while another put an animated spin on things. Now, the edits continue, with a rather exciting one coming to us from River A.C.E., who’s recut the trailer to turn it into a shorter TV spot, with new music and a few other tweaks that actually make it feel even more epic than what we initially saw.

The focus here is very much on Josh Brolin’s Thanos, who’s all set to be the biggest, baddest threat that the Avengers have ever faced. In fact, just this weekend, Joe Russo told us that Infinity War is being positioned as the Mad Titan’s movie, as it’ll peel back the layers of the villain, who apparently has some compelling motivations.

“I think he’s a very interesting and complex villain,” says Russo. “That’s why I like him. That’s why I’m excited for the audience to learn about him. I think his motivations, albeit psychotic, are compelling. And I think that in a lot of ways this is his movie, so it’s going to be very interesting to see how people respond to Thanos in the film.”

Circling back to this new trailer though, and it’s definitely worth a watch. True, it doesn’t have any footage we haven’t already seen, but the music works perfectly and the greater focus on Thanos and the enormous threat he presents makes the stakes feel genuinely high. If nothing else, it’ll hopefully help to tide everyone over until Marvel decides to release something new, which might just be in a couple of weeks.

After all, ESPN (owned by Disney) is airing the college football National Championship game on January 8th, and some fans think that the studio may use the event to showcase the next Avengers: Infinity War trailer. Chalk that up as speculation for now, but one way or another, we don’t imagine it’ll be too much longer before we get another peak at what’s undoubtedly 2018’s biggest release.
