The Revolution Begins In New Westworld Season 2 Trailer

The revolution has begun and you can now catch another look at season 2 of HBO's Westworld thanks to this brand new trailer.

Though a certain Song of Ice and Fire is currently stealing all the headlines over on HBO, series architects Lisa Joy, Jonathan Nolan, and executive producer J.J. Abrams are beginning to assemble the necessary pieces for Westworld season 2. Yes, make no mistake about it, slowly but surely the sophomore outing for one of television’s finest shows is coming together and the network debuted a thrilling new promo during tonight’s Super Bowl to prove it.

As you can see, this footage shows off a much, much different Westworld from the one seen at the end of the first season. If you recall, the finale saw the likes of Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and Maeve (Thandie Newton) achieve autonomy and break out of their conditioning and programming. Going by this trailer, it looks like Dolores will waste no time embracing her ‘Wyatt’ persona and will begin mowing down as many guests and staff members as she can.

From what we understand, April 22nd is the current target for season 2, and though HBO is yet to announce the full cast for Westworld‘s second outing, what we do know is that James Marsden, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson (Thor: Ragnarok), Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Luke Hemsworth, Clifton Collins, Jr., Talulah Riley and Louis Herthum are all expected to return in some capacity.

Undeterred by recent delays, season 2 of Westworld is expected to boot online via HBO in just a few short months, and if early reports hold true, it’ll herald a bloodbath of epic proportions, as the Hosts begin to seize control of the Wild West. And that’s before you even consider the other parks incubating within the bowels of Delos. A trip to the Samurai/Shogun world, perhaps? Or how about a Medieval realm?

So many questions, so few answers.
