Solo: A Star Wars Story Character Posters

The Whole Squad’s Here On This New Solo: A Star Wars Story Poster

For fans of all things that hail from that galaxy far, far away, February has certainly been a very good month. After waiting for what felt like forever to see something, anything from Solo: A Star Wars Story, Lucasfilm blew the lid right off the upcoming Anthology pic, flooding the web with trailers, photos, posters and more, all in the hope of drumming up excitement for a project that's had a pretty rocky ride up until now.

For fans of all things that hail from that galaxy far, far away, February has certainly been a very good month. After waiting for what felt like forever to see something, anything from Solo: A Star Wars Story, Lucasfilm blew the lid right off the upcoming Anthology pic, flooding the web with trailers, photos, posters and more, all in the hope of drumming up excitement for a project that’s had a pretty rocky ride up until now.

There’s no need to recap the troubled production or general feeling of apprehension surrounding the pic, as that’s all been well documented, but it’s probably fair to say that at this point, more and more people are finding themselves warming up to seeing Alden Ehrenreich take on the daunting task of playing the titular character, who was first popularized by Harrison Ford (Blade Runner 2049).

And so, as we wait to get a bit more footage that may give us a better idea of how the young actor will fare in the role, we’ve now got yet another one-sheet to share with you today. This actually leaked out over the weekend, with Disney finally releasing the official version just a few hours ago.

Done in the same style as the character posters from last week (which we’ve also included here), it brings together the whole gang and has a bit of a Western vibe to it, which was probably intentional. Regardless, we’re definitely digging it and look forward to seeing what else the Mouse House comes up with for the film’s marketing campaign.

Whether it’s the A-list cast or the rat-a-tat pacing, Solo has arguably made a good first impression with its trailer footage, while Bradford Young’s cinematography imbues the film with a bleak, gritty color palette – one that fits the title character like a glove. Admittedly, we still do have a few hesitations and the spinoff has yet to win us over completely, but now that the marketing blitz is well and truly underway, we’re certainly excited to see more.

Punch it, Chewie! Solo swoops into theaters on May 25th and when it does, it’ll be remembered as a hand-crafted love letter to the Star Wars films of old. Indeed, Rogue One achieved a similar feat back in 2016, but with characters like Chewie and Lando involved, there’s a real sense of legacy coursing through the veins of this pic.
