Is there another superhero out there who’s able to break the fourth wall like Wade Wilson?

Ahead of the release of Deadpool 2, Ryan Reynolds’ irreverent, gun-toting mercenary has been taking jabs at Disney, Josh Brolin, Céline Dion (!) and even the DC Extended Universe. And that’s just the promotional campaign we’re talking about.

Because in the film itself, the Merc with a Mouth takes aim at a lot more, including famous celebrities, fictional characters, Fortune 500 companies, etc. In David Leitch’s upcoming sequel, everything’s fair game, including both Batman and Superman.

Yes, you didn’t think Wade Wilson would let a film go by without taking a chance to throw a few jabs at his competitors, now did you? Aside from that great DCEU line we’ve all seen in the trailers, DP also gets a few more hilarious shots in at both the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel.

The best one comes right near the start, when Deadpool arrives home late. Vanessa asks where he was and he tells her he was “fighting a caped badass and discovered that his mother’s name was Martha, too.” Cue audience laughter. While that joke could technically apply to Batman or Superman, the next one is most definitely targeted at the Caped Crusader.

During one of his first encounters with Cable, the time traveling mutant asks the anti-hero, “who are you?” To which the Merc with a Mouth replies, “I’m Batman.” While not quite as clever a jab as the other one, it’s still sure to get a laugh out of comic book fans.

Aside from those two and the aforementioned DCEU joke, there isn’t much else, but be sure to keep your ears open during Deadpool 2, as the zingers come a mile a minute and almost all of them will have you in stitches.
