With each passing season, we naturally expect for each DC TV series to introduce a new round of heroes and villains from the comic books. In the past year alone, we’ve met the likes of Ricardo Diaz, the Thinker, Reign, Saturn Girl and the Ray, to name but a few.

Already, it’s known that the 2018-19 season will be one for the history books because Batwoman is set to debut in this fall’s mega crossover event. But if we were to think she’ll be the only one making the jump from page to screen within the next year, we’d be fools.

Of course, mostly every actor has their own personal wish list, as we’ve already learned that Arrow‘s leading man, Stephen Amell, wants to team up with Superman before his run ends. Funny enough, he also hinted at another big name dropping by in the near future while speaking at Motor City Comic Con over the weekend:

“We’re also debuting a new character, who, when I heard about it, I just got goosebumps. I’m so excited.”

Naturally, Amell is sworn to secrecy regarding such matters, but seeing the look on his face was indicative of how giddy he truly is. Truth be told, I’m thinking the new kid in town could possibly be another member of the Bat Family or a villain hailing from Gotham City, but anything’s possible at this point.

After all, there’s a myriad of figures the producers could pull from DC’s pantheon, though Amell’s enthusiasm forces one to think he’s talking about somebody well known. It’s very reasonable to assume that Batwoman’s father, Jacob Kane, will be in tow, but I doubt a supporting character such as him is causing the Emerald Archer to do back flips. As always, time will tell.

Arrow returns for its seventh season on Mondays this fall on The CW.
