Evangeline Lilly Really Wants An All-Female MCU Movie

Since late last year, Marvel fans have gone wild for the idea of an all-female MCU movie. It was first discussed by Kevin Feige, when he revealed that Thor: Ragnarok's Tessa Thompson had teamed up with a few of her co-stars to pitch him the exciting idea. Multiple Marvel actresses have latched onto the notion as well, including Scarlet Johansson (Black Widow), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Karen Gillan (Nebula) and Letitia Wright (Shuri). And though Elizabeth Olsen has attempted to cool talk of the project, as she warned that it’s not really on the cards and the reaction to it has been blown out of proportion, that hasn’t stopped another Marvel star from hopping on board the bandwagon and making clear how much they’d like to be part of “an all-ladies MCU movie.”

Ant-Man and the Wasp‘s Evangeline Lilly spoke to ComicBook.com recently and called for the rest of the MCU crew to put as much pressure on Kevin Feige as possible in order to get the film off the ground. Whether they’ll be able to get him to green light the project or not remains to be seen, of course, but here’s what she said:

“Dude, there’s talk of an all-ladies MCU movie amongst the MCU ladies. We would love to do that, and I think we should all put as much pressure as possible on Kevin [Feige] to make that happen.”

While we’re still waiting for a female team-up movie to happen, Feige’s made some positive announcements about the MCU‘s heroines in recent weeks. For one, he said that over 50% of the superheroes in the franchise will be women in the near future. Given that, it’s surely only a matter of time before Lilly gets her wish and is able to unite with her fellow Marvel ladies on the big screen, right?
