The video game publisher is bringing its big guns to Hall H on Thursday, July 19th, with Insomniac’s open-world Spider-Man game expected to top the bill. Greg Miller of Kinda Funny will be hosting the panel in two weeks’ time, where fans will seemingly get a glimpse of “many unannounced surprises” from Marvel Games.

Some new gameplay footage of Spider-Man is all but certain, what with Insomniac’s PS4 exclusive slated for release in September, but that SDCC’s official listing (h/t CBM) alludes to the fact that “attendees will see exciting sneak peeks of Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel Powers United VR, and Marvel Battle Lines, with many unannounced surprises and panel exclusives” tells us that Square Enix’s Avengers project may be making an appearance, too.

Last we reported, Square’s licensed title had seemingly taken the form of an Ultimate Alliance Reboot, though it remains to be seen exactly what the Japanese dev has planned for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

One thing we can tell you with absolute certainty is that Marvel Games’ SDCC panel will be hosted by Greg Miller, who will be joined on stage by a host of studio talent, including Mike Jones (vice president and executive producer), Bill Rosemann (executive creative director), and Bryan Intihar, creative director at Insomniac and one of the key driving forces behind Spider-Man.

It’s currently scheduled for release on September 7th, with Marvel’s SDCC panel expected to get the ball rolling on Thursday, July 19 at 1:00 PM PDT. Perhaps we’ll catch wind of that mooted Marvel Games Universe? Stay tuned for more.
