Marvel Comics Introduces Cable’s Guardians Of The Galaxy

Keeping that spirit, Cosmic Ghost Rider was set to introduce us to quite the eclectic future lineup for the Guardians of the Galaxy with its third issue, but as it turns out, the team made their debut ahead of schedule.

To be honest, the early arrival was something I suspected may happen because comics are solicited three months prior to their hitting shelves, but one can never be too sure of Marvel’s internal plans. Still, you have to admit the big reveal makes for one hell of a cliffhanger!

Seen below is the page that should have everybody talking, as Cable is orbited by the likes of Juggerduck, Rocket Raccoon, Jubilee and a woman whom some believe to be Kamala Khan, but it may be wise to just wait to learn the specifics from the issue to follow before jumping to conclusions. Either way, someone wearing a Captain Marvel costume while carrying Captain America’s shield is going to come off as being a badass.

From the sound of it, this craziness is just the tip of the iceberg, as it’s hard to forget writer Donny Cates’ words from a few months back:

“Cosmic Ghost Rider is such a blast to work on. It’s honestly pretty overwhelming how much the Marvel fans have embraced this crazy character, and I’m having so much fun continuing the Rider’s insane story! If you thought ‘Thanos Wins’ was wild…you just wait to see what we have planned for everyone’s new favorite space lunatic!”

Cosmic Ghost Rider #2 is now available in comic shops.
