Last year offered DC TV fans a huge treat as all four of the shows that make up the Arrowverse united for one epic, week-long crossover titled “Crisis on Earth-X.” It was the culmination of the yearly crossover event growing in proportion with each new outing, starting as just a minor team-up between Green Arrow and the Flash and blossoming into to a multi-dimensional blockbuster.
When this season’s Arrowverse crossover comes around, though, Legends of Tomorrow won’t be part of it. That’s certainly unfortunate, though the network has a good reason for keeping it out and besides, it’s not like we’re being sold short, as the event will instead introduce Batwoman into the franchise, ahead of her own upcoming spinoff series.
Yes, Ruby Rose is set to make her big debut later this year and now, we know when to expect her to swoop onto our screens. Earlier today, The CW revealed the schedule for 2018’s Arrowverse crossover and it reads as follows:
- Sunday, Dec. 9 at 8 pm: The Flash
- Monday, Dec. 10 at 8 pm: Arrow
- Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 8 pm: Supergirl
So, pretty much what we expected, but it’s nice to get some firm confirmation regardless. As for how Batwoman may factor into things, that remains unknown, but fans are theorizing that her appearance in the crossover could lead to Bruce Wayne himself being introduced later down the line, or at least his place in the universe being fully explained.
Of course, we’ll have to wait and see how this develops as we get closer to the new batch of Arrowverse seasons beginning this fall, but it’s all pretty exciting to think about and if you have any thoughts of your own on the matter, be sure to share them in the usual place.
