Captain Marvel Joins The Team On Gorgeous Avengers 4 Fan Art

Following the dire events of the climax of Avengers: Infinity War, the galaxy's greatest protectors are in a bad place. Not only did they fail to stop Thanos from wiping out half the universe, but many of their own have been lost - including such heavy-hitters as Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Vision and more. Still, let's try and find the bright side, as at least some of the most powerful heroes are still standing for Avengers 4, with Captain Marvel on her way.

Fans are understandably excited to see her join up with the rest of the squad and this epic new piece of fan art from artist Ultraraw26 unites three of the biggest guns the Avengers have – Iron Man, Captain America and Thor – with Carol Danvers. Set against the backdrop of Titan, Thanos’ homeworld, seeing the heroes united and brimming with power like this reminds us that the villain’s still got a major fight on his hands. He might have won the battle of Wakanda, but he hasn’t won the Infinity War just yet.

The characters’ appearances here seem to be based off the concept art for the movie that revealed how they’ll all appear in the Infinity War sequel. In particular, Cap’s back to looking like himself in this piece, much like he was depicted in the concept art. What’s more, Ultraraw26 has even replicated the scaled armor that looks to finally be making its way to the movies in Avengers 4.

As for Captain Marvel, she’ll no doubt be a very useful ally when she arrives, after heeding Nick Fury’s dying call at the end of IW. We’ve been told that Carol might just be the most powerful hero in the whole of the MCU – with Brie Larson even suggesting she can move planets. Even Thanos and his Infinity Gauntlet (burnt out, though it is) will surely struggle against her. Still, that doesn’t mean he’ll go down without a fight and you can bet that the team will need to give it their all when Avengers 4 slams into theaters in May.
