The Flash Cisco Vibe

New Synopsis For The Flash Teases The Death Of Vibe

To date, The CW have done a stellar job when it comes to assembling great ensemble casts. And if you require a fine example of this, one need not look any further than The Flash. Really, after excelling at its game for four seasons, it's probably safe to say that it's hard to imagine the show without core actors Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh and Jesse L. Martin.

Well, later this month, it’s very possible that we’ll have to part ways with one stalwart favorite, that being Valdes’ Cisco Ramon. But before we speculate any further, let’s check out the synopsis for the ominously titled “The Death of Vibe”:

CICADA TARGETS A MEMBER OF TEAM FLASH — After Cicada’s (Chris Klein) attack on The Flash (Grant Gustin), the team realizes they need to think outside the box to stop this dangerous new foe. Desperate to help her parents, Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) comes up with a plan that ultimately puts a member of Team Flash in danger. Meanwhile, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) delves into her past. Andi Armaganian directed the episode written by Jonathan Butler & Gabriel Garza (#503). Original airdate 10/23/2018

Normally, such major deaths on TV series come out of nowhere, but to actually deliver on something of this magnitude would be quite bold. Seriously, how often do you see any show blatantly tell you a character dies before it actually happens? If this does indeed pan out, then the producers have some guts.

But if you were to ask me, this “death” may actually be symbolic. Right now, I have a strong feeling that Cicada will somehow strip Mr. Ramon of his powers, therefore Vibe is essentially dead and only Cisco remains. Time will tell, of course, but it’d be one way to keep Valdes aboard if the goal is to trim Team Flash’s superhero ranks.

The Flash returns for its fifth season on Tuesday, October 9, with “The Death of Vibe” set to arrive on October 23.
