Rag Doll Debuts In New Promo For The Flash

As of tonight, the crew over at STAR Labs appear as though they're one step closer to learning Cicada's true identity thanks to some crack detective work done by Ralph Dibny and Sherloque Wells, but they'll all have to contend with one of the most unique freaks of the week we've ever seen when The Flash airs its next brand new episode.

I am, of course, referring to Rag Doll, who’ll be played by real life contortionist Troy James, perhaps most recognizable from his time on America’s Got Talent. Originally imagined as a nemesis for Jay Garrick, it’ll obviously be Barry Allen who’ll have to square off against this guy in the live action realm. And though Rag Doll’s been around since the Golden Age, he hasn’t received too much exposure outside of the comics – barring the animated series The Batman, as you may know.

As you can see in the trailer found at the top of this article, the new baddie in Central City looks every bit as strange as one could’ve hoped. Kudos go to James and those behind the camera for achieving something different than we’ve grown accustomed to seeing.

While viewing the footage, you may have noticed how the episode is advertised as airing on Tuesday, November 13, which is most assuredly not a typo. Don’t forget that both The Flash and Black Lightning will take next week off due to it being Election Day in the United States, with both shows slated to rerun their respective season premieres, “Nora” and “The Book of Consequences: Chapter One: Rise of the Green Light Babies.”

In the meantime, though, be sure to check out the official synopsis for “All Doll’d Up” if you desire more info:

BARRY AND IRIS TEAM UP TO STOP A DANGEROUS META NAMED RAG DOLL —Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) lets something slip about the future that devastates Iris (Candice Patton). In an attempt to distract his wife, Barry (Grant Gustin) asks Iris to team up to stop a new meta, Rag Doll (guest star Troy James). Meanwhile, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) learns something about her father. Phil Chipera directed the episode written by Thomas Pound & Sterling Gates (#505). Original airdate 11/13/2018.

The Flash airs on Tuesday nights on The CW.
