Avengers: Endgame Leak Reveals First Look At Iron Man’s Proton Cannon

A new toy for the upcoming Avengers: Endgame seemingly reveals Iron Man's proton cannon and let's just say Thanos better watch out.

Last month, several Avengers: Endgame LEGO figures leaked online and they teased the return of three of Iron Man’s older suits in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War sequel. But while a few nods to Tony’s solo adventures would be all well and good, Stark’s the kind of guy who’s always looking ahead to his next suit of armor, which is where this latest leak comes in.

Seen in the gallery down below is the Titan Hero Series Avengers: Endgame Iron Man Power FX Figure, with the description on the packaging teasing that the hero’s got himself some new, “advanced” armor. But perhaps the most interesting thing about this toy is what Tony’s wearing on his arm.

Though it hasn’t been confirmed just yet, we’d say that thing looks an awful lot like the proton cannon, a fan-favorite weapon from the Marvel vs. Capcom games. It’s been rumored for a while now that we’ll be seeing an MCU version of the cannon in Endgame and that’d certainly make sense, as the Avengers will need all the firepower they can get if they’re to take down Thanos.

Not only that, but this could very well be Stark’s last opportunity to wield the weapon, too. After all, Robert Downey Jr.’s contract is up after Endgame and there’ve been clues throughout the filming of Spider-Man: Far From Home that the character will be gone from the MCU by that point – whether it be due to his death or some kind of retirement from being a superhero.

In any case, you can look for Iron Man to take flight once more when Avengers: Endgame blasts into theaters on April 26th, by which point we should have a much clearer understanding of Joe and Anthony Russo’s master plan and what it means for the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a whole.
