New Photos From The Flash Preview King Shark Vs. Gorilla Grodd

As you may remember, we'd originally presented photos from "King Shark vs. Gorilla Grodd" a few weeks ago, but those surprisingly focused much more on Jesse L. Martin's long-awaited return to The Flash. In fact, there was really nothing to offer regarding the super heavyweight fight at that time. And though I'm sure we're all appreciative of seeing Joe West return to the fold, I'm guessing you may have felt shortchanged.

Fortunately, the network has released yet another batch of images from said episode at the eleventh hour. This isn’t unheard of in my line of work, as producers may hold onto certain info if it’s deemed too spoilerish. In this case, though, it could’ve been due to the visual effects team needing more time to polish the headlining creatures.

As you can see, the shots of both King Shark and Gorilla Grodd found in the gallery below look to be pretty impressive. I’m just hoping that when it comes time to watch them throw down later tonight that the animation is up to par. If you’ll recall the second in that Gorilla City two-parter from season 3, then you’ll remember how something wasn’t quite right about those primates.

If you’re wanting to see more of the ongoing war against Cicada, fear not, because that’ll resume next week during “Failure is an Orphan.” Don’t get me wrong, I’m looking forward to that as well, but sometimes it’s nice seeing these shows having fun by rewarding fans with dream fights.
