In a tweet shared earlier today, the Hulk actor observed how we only have 25 days to go until the release of the Avengers: Infinity War sequel, before telling his information-hungry fans, “Here’s a spoiler!” In the accompany GIF, we see a loading bar fill to completion, only to receive the message, “april fools.’”

Ruffalo’s recent troll job aside, this last week has yielded quite a few insights on the upcoming film through various merchandise and promotional material. Last Tuesday’s character posters, for instance, announced the return of Valkyrie from Thor: Ragnarok, as well as confirming the death of Shuri. And with the toy embargo lifting yesterday, some new products have also hinted heavily at a major action scene to feature in the movie.

Another thing we’ve learned from the recent flood of tie-in material is that the Hulk will be wearing a new purple and silver outfit, as well as perhaps the white uniform that the rest of the team is expected to wear. That being said, the Jade Giant has yet to show up in any of the film’s promotional footage, and even Bruce Banner has been given very little screen time.

The limited presence of Ruffalo’s character has led to plenty of speculation that Marvel is trying to hide a major development in Bruce’s story. One popular prediction, for example, is that Banner will blend his two sides into the Professor Hulk persona from the comics. That’s just a theory for the time being, but we’ll find out what’s really in store for the big green hero and the rest of the gang when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th.
