New Avengers: Endgame IMAX Trailer Shows Us A Little Bit More

Since Avengers: Endgame is sure to be the biggest blockbuster of 2019, there’s a case to be made for watching it on the biggest screen you can find. But to help you make up your mind, a new IMAX version of the film’s latest full trailer has just been released, and while the video has nothing to offer in the way of new footage, the expanded aspect ratio at least allows a little more detail to creep into the frame.

By now, most fans will be very familiar with this preview, which dropped in its original form two-and-a-half weeks ago. Among the moments to get a big online response were Thor and Captain Marvel’s first meeting, the team’s new white suits and Hawkeye’s eye-catching mohawk. The footage also fueled the theory that the Avengers: Infinity War sequel will see the Avengers Compound come under attack. And now that we have the IMAX version, it’ll be interesting to see if fans can spot any further clues from the expanded ratio.

In any case, with just twenty-five days to go until the film arrives in cinemas, Marvel has been more generous than ever with the promotional material (albeit, not so much with the footage). Last week, for example, saw the release of a whole load of character posters, as well as various international promo art. We also got a couple of featurettes, including one which saw directors Anthony and Joe Russo make their case for seeing the movie in IMAX.

With tickets expected to go on sale tomorrow, eager fans will soon be making their minds up on whether or not to follow the Russo Brothers’ advice. But IMAX or no IMAX, you can see Avengers: Endgame in theaters from April 26th.
