Gotham Bane

It’s Bane Vs. Everybody In New Photos From Gotham’s Penultimate Episode

If anybody knows how to make a four-week wait seem like an eternity, it's most certainly Fox. I say that because the last episode of Gotham to have aired, "I am Bane," graced our screens in mid-March. After that, the network decided to put the show on hiatus for a month, with the final episodes set to debut later on in April. In my view, that's a great way to lose momentum.

On a positive note, we finally have photos from the series’ penultimate episode, that being “They Did What?,” to share with you all here today. Found in the gallery below, they show what we could term “Gotham’s Last Stand,” as heroes and villains unite in order to take down Bane, Nyssa al Ghul and their army. This, my friends, is the epic battle that was teased at the start of the season finale.

After viewing what’s offered in the slideshow and reviewing all that’s been presented thus far, I think it’d be fair to say this particular episode will feel very much like a finale as it’ll conclude the “No Man’s Land” story arc. The actual series finale, however, leaps ten years into the future and shows us Bruce Wayne’s first night out as Batman, thus making that feel like a second pilot of sorts.

Either way, I’m looking forward to what both episodes have to offer. Despite the negative reaction to how this iteration of Bane appears, I ended up liking him as Shane West just brings such a great presence to the character. It should also be intriguing to see how Jim Gordon and company are able to take him down since he’s so formidable.

For more on “They Did What?,” be sure to check out the official synopsis:

(GTH-509) (TV-14 L, V)
