It’s been billed as the closer to the MCU’s Phase 3, as Peter Parker swings on over to Europe for some much-needed R&R – he did just watch his father figure meet his maker in Endgame, remember – only to find himself caught up in fresh superhero drama involving Nick Fury, Elementals and a mysterious new figure in the form of Mysterio.

And while this is very much a solo Spidey film, it turns out Iron Man’s presence will be strongly felt in Far From Home, where Peter must now come to terms with living in a world without Mr. Stark. But it seems that the beloved hero actually left something behind for young Parker, as according to Total Film magazine, Tony had a secret workshop hidden in the back of the Stark Jet which he’d use to build various tech. We even got a glimpse of it in the recent Far From Home trailer, where we saw Peter working in some type of lab.

Why Tony kept this a secret from the other Avengers, and why we haven’t seen it in the MCU yet, remains unclear, but regardless, it looks as if Spidey now has access to it and will presumably use the lab to build his new black and red suit. But it seems that Stark’s presence will loom large over the entire film, and extend far beyond just his secret lab, as we’ve already been told while Iron Man is gone, he certainly hasn’t been forgotten.

“His presence is very much felt. And [Peter] still obviously references this is the suit Tony gave him,” producer Eric Carroll said in a recent interview. “Tony and Happy help him out in many ways along this movie — he’s very present, he’s just not in the movie.”

The trailers have definitely backed up what Carroll’s saying here and while we hope that Stark won’t totally overshadow Peter’s next big screen adventure, we’re certainly happy to see that the MCU hasn’t forgotten about its founding father. And with any luck, he’ll have left Parker behind a few gadgets to help him take on the Elementals (and possibly Mysterio) when Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into theaters next month, on July 2nd.
