Spider-Man: Far From Home Post-Credits Scene Reportedly Revealed

This description for the Spider-Man: Far From Home post-credits scene may reveal how the sequel will set-up Spider-Man 3 and Phase Four of the MCU.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is almost upon us and, as if we weren’t excited enough for it already, word has it that the Spidey sequel will be of the utmost importance to the MCU going forward. As the final installment of Phase Three, FFH is supposedly going to set the stage for not just Spider-Man 3 but also the shape of Phase Four. One way that it’s reportedly going to do that is by introducing the new big bad.

Many sources are claiming that none other than Norman Osborn will play a major role in Phase Four and he could be about to make his MCU debut in Far From Home. Something that supports this is a leaked description for the post-credits scene of the movie. Shared on the MarvelStudiosSpoiler subreddit last month, the description is now doing the rounds again.

User RoyG575 claims to be a special effects artist for Disney, which is how he’s seen the sequence, and here’s what he revealed:

“The mid-credit scene starts off in a dark room, with chilling and villainous music. A defeated and sad looking Mysterio looks out the window from a skyscraper at night time. The view of the shot is within the building looking outwards, so you can’t see the building itself.

A voice is heard in the background (which sounds Russian), which says something like “He beat us once, but soon he is going to pay”. Mysterio turns around and the voice is revealed to be from the Chameleon in his costume. Mysterio then says “Dimitri, thanks for having my back out there”. Chameleon replies with “don’t worry, there are more of us”. Right then, the music gets darker while the Vulture (similar outfit as homecoming with a few modifications), Scorpion (Outfit similar to comics but few differences), Shocker (Different outfit than homecoming, it looks like the red and yellow suit from comics), and a man in a business suit walk in from another room.

The businessman gathers the villains together and says “I have a proposal”. The camera pans out to the outside of the building, which is the old Stark/Avengers tower which has the name “OSCORP” in large green font, at the same spot the Stark logo was, and shows it for a few seconds. The scene ends here. It was about 45 seconds but I have only seen the whole clip twice. I couldn’t tell if the businessman was Norman Osborn, or if he was simply an assistant, and I didn’t know the actor playing him.”

So, if this is genuine, we’re not just looking at the debut of Osborn in the sequel but also the rest of the Sinister Six – complete with a return for Homecoming‘s Michael Keaton and Michael Mando in comic-accurate costumes. This would undoubtedly be an incredibly awesome tease for what’s to come, but it also sounds a little too good to be true. Then again, Homecoming itself also used its post-credits to tease the formation of the supervillain team, so who knows?

At the very least, evidence in the trailers has revealed that the Avengers Tower has been redeveloped into a different building – which fans think could be Oscorp. Thankfully, there’s not too long left before we get to find out the truth for ourselves, as Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into theaters on July 2nd.
