Released today at the show’s Comic-Con panel, it depicts the heroine striding through National City with pandemonium apparently going on around her. The main focus of the image, though, is of course her new togs. Some have complained about the lack of the red skirt outsetting the balance between the two colours, but in this photo the bold blue really works. We’re definitely getting Man of Steel vibes from it.

The panel also brought us the first trailer for season 5. As filming has only just got started on the new run, it’s naturally mostly a recap of the events of the previous season. However, it does tease what Kara will be facing when she returns to our screens.

New media queen Andrea Rojaz (Julie Gonzalo) is debuting her “Obsidian” tech while there’s a new rival reporter, William Dey (Staz Nair) at CatCo. Most of all, though, her former friend Lena has finally lived up to her Luthor name and is now an enemy. The sinister laugh, which owes something to the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer, also tells us to expect the return of Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor.

Supergirl season 5 hits The CW on Sunday, October 6th. In the meantime, tell us, are you a fan of this revamped suit or not? Let us know what you think of Kara’s new look in the comments below.
