But despite all that, it’s actually the mature-rated Harley Quinn animated series that a lot of people are looking forward to the most – this writer included. As a big fan of Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner’s comic book run, it’s pretty clear that some generous inspiration will come from that material and earlier tonight during their San Diego Comic-Con panel, DC Universe finally gave us another look at the show.

Up above you can catch the latest trailer for Harley Quinn and though it’s not terribly long, it does tease what appears to be a very fun, but very mature animated outing for the service. And if you’re still after more, why not check out the plot summary below?

Harley Quinn follows Harley’s adventures after she breaks up with the Joker and strikes out on her own in this new, adult animated comedy. With the help of Poison Ivy and a ragtag crew of DC castoffs, Harley tries to earn a seat at the biggest table in villainy: the Legion of the Doom.

Kaley Cuoco of The Big Bang Theory fame will be taking the titular role here with Lake Bell voicing Poison Ivy. The two of them exhibited some great chemistry in the show’s first trailer and while we can’t wait to see more of them, the rest of the cast is equally enticing, with Alan Tudyk playing the Joker and Sanaa Lathan as Catwoman, among others.

All things considered, things look pretty promising for Harley Quinn and we’re excited to see what it’ll deliver when it finally launches on the DC Universe streaming service.
