Marvel Announces She-Hulk TV Show For Disney Plus

Marvel has just announced three new MCU shows coming to Disney Plus in the next few years. What's more, all three feature fresh characters we haven't met before in the franchise. And the icing on the cake is that they're three of the heroes that fans have wanted to see in live-action for the longest time. Namely, the new series are Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk.

For the uninitiated, She-Hulk is really Jennifer Walters, the cousin of Bruce Banner who shares his knack for turning green and mean due to a blood transfusion to save her life. Unlike Bruce, though, Jennifer generally stays in her green form and retains her intelligence. Much like Smart Hulk in Avengers: Endgame. There could be a connection there, too, but that’s just speculation for now as no further details about the show were revealed.

Of course, We Got This Covered was the first outlet to report that a She-Hulk series was in development all the way back in the spring. Our intel at the time said that Mark Ruffalo would be reprising his role as Bruce in the show as well and though this wasn’t confirmed at the Disney Plus panel, it seems like a good bet. Unfortunately, no casting was announced either, but we should learn more soon.

In any case, this is certainly exciting as there are all sorts of things that could be done with a She-Hulk show. Jennifer is a lawyer by profession in the comics and usually represents superheroes in court. So, there’s the potential for a comic book-flavored legal drama here with plenty of crossover opportunities. She’s also no stranger to breaking the fourth wall, so that Deadpool-esque element could be a part of it, too. As always, watch this space for more.
