A Big Reason Disney Wants Fox Is So They Can Consolidate All Marvel Characters
21st Century Fox is keen to shed its entertainment divisions, and has reportedly been in talks with Disney about a landmark deal. That's the news that almost brought the Internet to a standstill earlier this week, though The Wall Street Journal has since warned that the companies are no longer actively discussing the deal. That doesn't necessarily mean it's off the table, merely that the acquisition is a long, long way from being signed, sealed and delivered.

New Star Wars: The Last Jedi Merch Shows Luke On The Dark Side
Ever since Star Wars: The Last Jedi's inaugural teaser dropped, in which Luke Skywalker, the Tatooine farm-boy-turned-Jedi-Master uttered the by-now infamous line, "it's time for the Jedi...to end," a vocal pocket of Star Wars fans have come to the conclusion that Hamill's exiled hermit is about to wander over to the dark side - if he hasn't already. There's also the possibility that Luke has grown to become a Gray Jedi, which is to say that he's distanced himself from the High Council and no longer abides by the Jedi code.

Rotten Tomatoes Reveals The 50 Best Superhero Films Of All-Time
Superheroes: fictional characters doing impossible things in implausible costumes. Why is society so fascinated by them? Of course, they inspire us, and reassure us, and certainly entertain us. They also provide a platform for storytelling that's epic in scale – often allowing for sweeping sci-fi or historical drama, alongside intimate tales of relationships and familial bonds. It's hardly surprising that the world of film adopts – and occasionally spawns – so many of these characters as its own.

First Look At Day Of The Dead Remake Revealed
Earlier today, Saban Films gave us our first look at their Day of the Dead remake, which is going by the title Day of the dead: Bloodline. Up above, you'll be able to catch a look at one of the zombies set to appear in the flick in addition to the official poster. Neither give us very much to go on, unfortunately, but it's nice that the studio is finally peeling back the lid on the pic.

Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam To Debut In Suicide Squad 2
It's been years since Dwayne Johnson was announced to have signed up to play anti-hero Black Adam in the DC Extended Universe, and yet we've still to see the megastar turn up in the franchise. Originally, the actor was set to play the villainous role in Shazam, but it's since been revealed that this won't be the case. Instead, a Black Adam solo film is in the works, though it doesn't seem like that's being hurried into production.

Dreams Come True With Jason Vs. Michael Part 2 Trailer
When you think about it, it's actually a bit crazy that Jason Voorhees hasn't squared off against Michael Myers yet. I mean, they're two of the most iconic horror characters around and in this particular genre, crossovers and mash-ups are a dime a dozen. Understandably, fans have wanted to see a fight between the two slashers ever since their inception and while there's still no studio movies out there that will deliver that, we do have the next best thing.
