The Batman To Be Set In Different Time Period And Star New Actor
It's been a wild couple of weeks for the DC Extended Universe, with all kinds of surprising announcements coming out of nowhere and being met with some pretty interesting reactions from fans. For instance, just last night we learned of a solo origin story film for the Clown Prince of Crime while earlier today, we received word that directors have been found for that Joker and Harley Quinn movie that was announced at Comic-Con last month. And then, of course, there's been all the commotion over The Batman.

Justice League Dark Hit With Another Setback
Justice League Dark has been having a bit of a hard time getting off the ground. Once set to be directed by Guillermo del Toro, the project eventually fell into Doug Liman's lap, at which point, it looked like things were good to go. However, the Edge of Tomorrow helmer shocked us all a few months back when he announced that he'd be walking from the film, citing scheduling conflicts as the reason for his departure.

Martin Lawrence Says Don’t Hold Out Hope For Bad Boys 3
Despite sounding like a great idea on paper, some films get stuck in development hell for so long that it makes you wonder just what the heck is really going on? Such is the case with Bad Boys 3. After two extremely successful instalments, you'd think that all parties involved would be rushing to make another outing, but that hasn't been the case. A glimmer of hope appeared when Joe Carnahan signed on to write and direct not too long ago, but he's since departed the project and it's now back in limbo.

Zack Snyder Shares New Justice League BTS Photo
As reshoots on Justice League continue apace, with some pretty major changes being made, apparently, one's left to wonder just how much of Zack Snyder's vision will be left in the film. From what we understand, new director Joss Whedon has already altered the ending and re-worked Cyborg quite a bit, not to mention he's also lightened the overall tone of the film. While the most recent trailer did have hints of Whedon in it, it still seems like very much a Snyder production, but until we see the full thing, we won't be able to determine that for sure.

Plot Details For Cancelled Friday The 13th Reboot Emerge
The last time we saw Jason Voorhees on the big screen, it was in a 2009 reboot which may have made a healthy profit, but certainly didn’t sit well with fans or critics. However, being Hollywood, money talks and of course, another Friday The 13th was ordered up. Unfortunately, though, it never got off the ground and has seemingly slipped into development hell. That's a real shame, too, as it sounded like the filmmakers had some pretty exciting ideas for the flick.

Mark Wahlberg Passes Dwayne Johnson To Become Highest Paid Actor Of 2017
As arguably one of the busiest guys in Hollywood, it wasn't at all shocking to see Dwayne Johnson top Forbes' list of highest paid actors last year. Taking in a whopping $64.5 million, the wrestler turned actor is without a doubt one of the biggest movie stars at the moment, but it seems that he's now been dethroned, as the 2017 edition of the list has been published this week and there's a new king in town. His name? Mark Wahlberg.

Marvel Has MCU Plans For At Least The Next 10-20 Years
Though the term superhero fatigue gets thrown around a lot these days, the studios don't seem to be taking notice of it. 20th Century Fox, Marvel and DC, among others, continue to push forward with ambitious and extensive plans for massive cinematic universes featuring all your favorite comic book characters. And while it's hard to imagine a world without superhero movies at the moment, that may one day become a reality. But thanks to Marvel, such a thing won't happen for at least another few decades.
