Robert Downey Jr. In Talks For The Avengers 2 And The Avengers 3, Not Iron Man 4
After Iron Man 3 opened to extremely positive reviews and very impressive box office numbers, Marvel is scrambling to lock up their prized possession: Robert Downey Jr. For those unaware, the actor currently has no contract with the studio. After the success that the original Iron Man film saw, Downey Jr. worked out a deal where he would receive a percentage of the first-day gross for all future films. This ultimately ended up in his favor as he earned somewhere around $50 million for The Avengers. Unfortunately though, the actor's contract with Marvel expired after his third solo outing as Iron Man and now, his future within the Marvel universe is uncertain.

Ben Affleck Makes Live By Night Official
Now that Ben Affleck has his second Oscar nom under his belt with Argo, the man certainly has options to choose from. A few months ago he was circling an adaptation of Dennis Lehane's Live By Night and though it was always more or less a sure thing, now he's made it official, agreeing to star in, write and direct the film.

Shane Black Will Direct Doc Savage
After demolishing the box office this weekend with Iron Man 3, director Shane Black is a hot commodity right now and is likely seeing scripts piling up on his desk at an alarming rate. Though he can easily make any film he chooses at this point in time, the project that he has settled on for his next outing will be Doc Savage, a film he will make for Sony.

Ewan McGregor Will Replace Bradley Cooper In Jane Got A Gun
At this stage, I'll be surprised if Jane Got A Gun ever makes it into theatres. The film has hit so many road bumps that it's become a bit of a joke at this point. Last week, the most recent development was that Bradley Cooper had exited so he could film American Hustle for David O. Russell. Cooper was set to play the villain, a role previously given to Jude Law, who decided to leave when director Lynne Ramsay departed. Now we're hearing that Ewan McGregor is being brought in to replace The Hangover Part III star and hopefully, this time it will stick.

Is David Tennant Being Eyed For Guardians Of The Galaxy?
Guardians of the Galaxy is coming together and so far, most of the lead roles have been filled. We know that Chris Pratt will lead our galactic heroes as the fearless leader Star-Lord. Joining him will be Zoe Saldana as Gamora and Dave Bautista as Drax The Destroyer. Lee Pace will also be showing up in an unspecified villainous role. There aren't too many major parts left empty but one that still needs an actor is that of the fan favorite Rocket Raccoon.

The Crow Takes Off With Luke Evans
It's about time. After acting as a revolving door for a whole handful of actors, The Crow has finally found its lead in Luke Evans. The F. Javier Gutierrez-directed reboot had been chasing after a number of actors to play the role of Eric Draven. Most recently, Tom Hiddleston was flirting with the part but obviously, that didn't pan out. Evans was actually the original choice but due to his increasingly busy schedule, he wasn't sure if he'd have time to do the film.

David Slade Will Direct The Widow
Though he's known for films like The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Hard Candy, director David Slade has been spending his time in the world of television lately. He directed the pilot for Awake, he's helmed three episodes of the Mads Mikkelsen starring Hannibal and has also taken a stab at an episode of Breaking Bad. Now, the director is returning to the big screen as THR reports that he's on board to step behind the camera for The Widow, a psychological thriller from Vendom Pictures, who produced and financed Source Code.
