Roundtable Interview With Fede Alvarez On Evil Dead
Fede Alvarez is all ready to bring audiences worldwide his new horror film Evil Dead. A re-imagining of the Sam Raimi-directed, Bruce Campbell-starring classic, Alvarez's version is a bloody (and we do mean bloody), horrifying and wildly entertaining film that easily stands out from other recent entries in the genre. Though it wasn't without fault, I enjoyed it immensely and was thrilled when I got the chance to interview Alvarez last week over the phone in a conference call set up by Sony.

The Conjuring Is Too Scary For A PG-13 Rating
Director James Wan has two films for moviegoers to look forward to this year. First, there's Insidious: Chapter 2, the follow up to his extremely successful 2010 film. Then, he also has his "true life" haunted house film The Conjuring. It will follow the Perrons family, who enlist the help of paranormal investigators after they start to experience "strange phenomena in their home." Ron Livingston, Vera Farming, Patrick Wilson and Lili Taylor will star and so far, buzz is pretty positive.

Bloody New Still From The Raid 2: Berandal
Director Gareth Evans, who impressed audiences everywhere with his breakout action film The Raid: Redemption, is hard at work on the sequel, titled The Raid 2: Berandal. Currently filming in Jakarta, Indonesia and scheduled for a 100 day shoot, the film is set to bring more of the explosive action seen in the first outing. That's a given. But, judging by this new still, which was released today, it looks like we'll be getting some pretty gory stuff as well.

Peter Jackson Takes Us Behind The Scenes Of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
Though many complained about The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, I found it to be quite an enjoyable romp through Middle Earth. Though not on par with Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy, it's still a solid action/adventure flick and one that provided a lot of great moments and some truly memorable scenes, for me at least. The next film in the trilogy, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, is currently in production and today, we get a behind the scenes look at it.

Bradley Cooper May Play The Flash In Justice League
Oh those pesky Justice League rumours, won't they ever die down? Apparently not as today, we're hearing more about the potential casting for Warner Bros.' upcoming film. Sources close to the production have confirmed to us that Bradley Cooper is being eyed by the studio to take on the role of The Flash. Though this is far from official news, it does make sense and we wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be true. Don't believe us? Let's look at the facts.

Army Of Two: The Devil’s Cartel Review
Usually, ripping into a game and tearing its heart right out is a fun thing to do. When a game is bad and when developers are lazy, they deserve to be called out on it. If we as the customers are going to be asked to shell out $60, then you better believe that we expect to get our money's worth. When it comes to Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel though, there is no fun to be had. It pains me to tell you that the series, which holds a special place in my heart, has now been reduced to nothing more than a recycled, lazy, forgettable and generic shooter running on autopilot that gets just about everything it possibly can, wrong.

Will Clint Eastwood Direct Jersey Boys?
Jersey Boys, the upcoming film adaptation based on the very successful Broadway play, may have a new director. Though Jon Favreau was originally attached, he departed when the project was put into turnaround. Now, we're hearing that the man who will be filling in for him may very well be Mr. Clint Eastwood. Eastwood has been trying to get his own musical going, A Star Is Born. Things were going well too until Beyonce, who was going to lead the project, exited. Now, to scratch that musical itch he has, the director may be taking over for Favreau.

Roundtable Interview With Dane DeHaan On The Place Beyond The Pines
Though we still wouldn't exactly call him a household name just yet, there's no denying that actor Dane DeHaan is starting to carve out quite the career for himself. After breaking out in Chronicle, the actor went on to star in films like Lawless, Kill Your Darlings and will also have a decent sized role in the upcoming sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2. But for now, the actor is focusing on his newest film, The Place Beyond The Pines, which hits theatres this week.
