Ray Liotta Will Venture To The Place Beyond The Pines
Crime dramas have always been a favorite of mine, so it should come as no surprise that The Place Beyond The Pines is looking very appealing right now. The upcoming film from Derek Cianfrance already has Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes, Greta Gerwig and Bradley Cooper in place to star and now Variety tells us that actor Ray Liotta will join the film as a “fierce, crooked officer on the force." With a vast resume of movie credits that have him in the role of a policeman of some sorts, Liotta should be right at home here.

Christopher Meloni Joins Man Of Steel
Actor Christopher Meloni, most well known for his work on Law and Order: SVU, has joined the cast of Man Of Steel, the upcoming Superman reboot from Zack Synder. This is the third bit of casting news we've heard in the past little while, with Julia Ormond joining yesterday and Russell Crowe hopping on board last week.

Spy Kids 4 Is Coming To Us Complete With Aromascope
A new one sheet for Spy Kids 4: All The Time In The World was released yesterday and featured prominently on the poster is the fact that the film will be coming to us with Aromascope. It has been eight years since the last Spy Kids film and director Robert Rodriguez is now bringing us a fourth movie. This time around, he's changing things up, giving us the film in 4D. The fourth dimension will be smell, or Aromascope as it's known.

Jersey Shore Cast To Be Replaced After Season 5
In what comes as a bit of a shock, MTV is looking to replace the Jersey Shore cast after season 5. The move comes in an attempt by the network to manage their budget for the show, which is becoming larger and larger every year due to the ridiculous salaries that the cast is demanding. MTV feels that by replacing the cast and starting over with fresh new faces, they can reduce their salary expense.

Aaron Sorkin Writing An HBO Miniseries For John Krasinski
Deadline is reporting that writer Aaron Sorkin is teaming up with HBO to write a miniseries for actor John Krasinski. The eight hour long series will be adapted from Raymond R. Sarlot & Fred Basten‘s book “Life At The Marmont,” which give us a behind the scenes look at the legendary Hollywood hotel The Chateau Marmont.

Brand New Captain America: The First Avenger Trailer
With about one month to go until the First Avenger makes his way into theatres, Paramount has released the final trailer for the upcoming Captain America film. With Thor not being as good as I expected and Green Lantern just flat out tanking, I have high hopes for Captain America: The First Avenger. X-Men: First Class was great but that's the only superhero film that I've been truly impressed with this summer.

Ryan Gosling May Join Nicolas Winding Refn’s Only God Forgives
Twitch Film is telling us that they have it on good authority that Ryan Gosling will once again team up with Nicolas Winding Refn for Only God Forgives. Right now Kristin Scott Thomas is attached to the film and Luke Evans is apparently circling a role as well. While Gosling's involvement hasn't been confirmed yet by the studio. I wouldn't doubt it.

James McAvoy Replaces Michael Fassbender In Danny Boyle’s Trance
Well this is an odd turn of events. James McAvoy has replaced his X-Men: First Class co-star Michael Fassbender in Danny Boyle's upcoming film Trance. Variety is telling us that the Scottish actor is in early discussions for the lead role now that Fassbender has dropped out. It would have been fantastic to see the two actors on screen together here but I guess we can't have it all. We already saw them go head to head in X-Men: First Class and considering that they're both incredibly talented young actors, I'm fine with either one of them taking the lead role here.
