Robert Rugan, an award-winning commercial director, recently pitched a revival to the House of Mouse in the form of a live-action/CG production, and the studio has jumped on board. Mandeville Films, responsible for the recently-resuscitated Muppets franchise, are set to produce.

Two new Star Wars: Episode VII rumors have hit the web today and one of them has me a bit bummed out while the other one is quite promising. Where to begin? Well, for a while now, fans have wondered how the Star Wars Extended Universe will play into the new trilogy, if at all. Characters? Worlds? Ships? It was recently revealed that FOX's new series Gotham, which focuses on a young James Gordon, will feature origin stories of some of Batman's most famous villains. The Riddler, Catwoman and the Joker are all in line to make appearances, as well as some of the more lesser known characters. Now, according to Latino Review, we know that the first villain to show his face in Gotham City will be Oswald Cobblepot, more commonly referred to as The Penguin.
