The first two BloodRayne games were flawed attempts at forging a new female warrior into an action adventure title that would be on par with the likes of Lara Croft, a badass with boobs so to say. Obviously the main character of the series, Rayne, while extremely sultry and provocative at initial appearance (a whorish vampire in skintight leather) ended up as more of a marketing ploy then a worthwhile heroine to emotionally get attached with. After a seven year slumber and three horrendous movie adaptations credited to the wondrous talent of Uwe Boll, BloodRayne: Betrayal arrives to inject a new dose of vampire-skewering into the lingering series that was often thought to be dead.
One of the year’s best films that has everything audiences are looking for in a sports movie experience. Visually exciting fight sequences are matched by an emotionally complex story with believable characters full of conviction.
In the latest batch of set photos for The Dark Knight Rises, Anne Hathaway is primarily featured but this time she appears without skintight leather or silly goggles. The photos show Selina Kyle (a.k.a Catwoman) in fisticuffs with an attacking assailant on the snowy streets of Gotham. One would guess by judging from the pictures, that Selina is preventing a mugging of the little boy standing beside her or that maybe she is getting attacked herself.
With Batman: Arkham City almost within players' grasp, it's only fitting that leaked spoilers are now popping up in the form of the game's listed achievements/trophies. Below is a general overview of what challenges await the Dark Knight this October along with the prestigious awards available to obtain.
This is a nice change of pace when it come to The Dark Knight Rises publicity as of late. Instead of city shots or photo snaps of actors on set, we get our first glimpse at the newly renovated Batcave. Compared to the stony architecture found in Batman Begins, this headquarters for the Caped Crusader is relatively high-tech with an emphasis on being computer savvy.
With The Dark Knight Rises currently filming, the production is creating a media frenzy online. The inevitable criticisms and negative comments have begun flooding forums across the internet about whether or not director Christopher Nolan will impress with the Caped Crusader's last outing. At the center of the skepticism hurricane lies actor Tom Hardy, who is portraying the villain Bane.
After showcasing the co-op campaign for Battlefield 3 at GamesCom a couple weeks ago, DICE product manager Tommy Rydling has pulled back the curtain further on what the newly implemented mode means for the game.
Even with all the detailed set coverage concerning The Avengers, no physical snapshots have confirmed whether or not Loki's "mentioned army" will be the shape-shifting villainous Skrulls. There have been guys on set wearing CGI suits, but in big budget movies that are reliant on special effects this basically means nothing.
Our Idiot Brother is simply another showcase of how talented Rudd is as an actor and a comedian. In the most subtle way he is given a real opportunity to headline a film for once and in doing so, he holds its flaws together like glue.
Comic book film adaptations dominate the theaters in all types now. From the grittiness found in graphic novels (300, Sin City) or the pulpy adventures based on the golden age strips from the 40’s and 50’s (Captain America, Superman), the two art forms are colliding into one for maximum profit. So it’s not odd to hear that last May’s early summer release, Priest, was different when it came to the original source material it was loosely based on.
